Offshore Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico
Located only 9 miles east of Port Mansfield, the indigo blue water of the Gulf of Mexico is home to
king and spanish mackerel, mahi-mahi (dolphin), cobia and red snapper. These are only a few of the
species of game fish we may encounter. During certain times of the year, we actually "sight cast" to red snapper!
In fact, most of the snapper rocks are within sight of Padre Island National Seashore.
